Are you looking for a way to connect deeper to the spirit of plants?
Are you looking to revive ancient and ancestral plant connections?
Are you looking to add flowers into your practice for personal and community wellness & liberation?
Are you looking for a community of plant people?
Come spend your Sundays in Flower Church, a 6 month cohort to learn about, explore, and experience the power of flower essences and plant spirit in self and community care. This will be a non-hierarchical, communal space to meet other flower freaks and plant people and experience the transformative energy of plants together. Come worship dirt and whisper to the flowers with us. Together we will revive the ancient language of plants and conjure floral magic.
Flower Essence Church Participants will receive:
Access to pre-recorded training videos that give a deep dive into plant spirit communication, flower essences history, and how to work with and alongside plant energetics.
Participants will then be invited to a monthly cohort meeting of about 2 hours where you will join with other cohort members in experiencing a plant/flower essence together and discussing the supportive nature of that essence and what energy that plant/flower holds for you.
Flower Essence Kit: Every month participants will receive a plant/flower essence via mail and guidance on working with the essence over the next 4-5 weeks. Participants will not know what essence they are working with every month and will be asked to keep notes on the energy they feel while working with essence.
Personal Flower Essence Journal to keep notes on the energy of monthly essences & deepen plant spirit communication.
30 minute check-in call with Courtney or Madison, which can focus on questions about plant spirit/flower essences or helping you find a personal flower essence blend.
A certification of completion will be shared at the end of this cohort and level two certification classes will be offered to anyone who completes this cohort process.
Participants will share this experience with each other every month on a live zoom call and then receive a deep dive on the monthly essence(s) from Madison & Courtney. This cohort is not just one of sharing knowledge of essences, but of collectively rekindling our intuition and our natural ability to speak the language of plants. We will hold this space together and rekindle these ancient and ancestral connections to plant spirit in our personal and collective healing journeys.

Flower essences can be a key ally in supporting yourself, your family, your community, your coworkers, your clients/patients through processing hard emotions and life experiences. This may look like an essence to support someone's heart after death of a loved one, an essence to help reground after shock, an essence for uprooting patterns learned through surviving trauma, and essence for open up understanding and healthy communication channels during an argument. The work of plant/flower essences is a never ending relationship loop between you and the healing guidance of nature. Inviting the energy of plants into yourself and community care journey and vocation can be a profound and life changing journey.

Meet your hosts/the flower nerds:
Courtney Cochran (they/she) is a queer, gender nonconforming, plant freak living on 16 acres of occupied Anishinaabe land near Knife River, Minnesota. Courtney comes from a white, Celtic, mixed European ancestry and always works to bring in ancestral plants into their practice. Courtney has been listening to and learning from plants their entire life, but she has been intentionally studying herbs since 2018. Courtney is a passionate gardener, forager, food preservation enthusiast, and chicken caretaker. Courtney’s deepest passions are talking to flowers and centering queer and trans joy, liberation, and wellness in everything they do. With a background in social work and queer liberation organizing, they come to herbalism with a unique lens that weaves a community of plant, animal, and human relations into your healing journey. Courtney has studied herbalism via Green Wisdom School of Natural & Botanical Medicine and Twin Star Herbal Center. Courtney is a Clinical Herbalist and Flower Essence Practitioner.
Madison McCoy (she/her) is a circle keeper, flower whisperer, and student of the messy & miraculous. She is the founder of Earth and Sea, a llc with the mission to build a more equitable world by equipping individuals with generative conflict transformation tools, deep self awareness, and a reverence for the earth. Madison is a certified Personal Transformation Facilitator, flower essence practitioner, folk herbalist, and holds a degree in Community Conflict Transformation from George Mason University. She uses a whole self and trauma-informed approach & partnership with the plants to guide individuals in accessing their own deep well of healing, transformation, and imaginative power. She believes these are necessary tools to dismantle systems of oppression and through healing yourself, you heal the world. From medicinal plants to heal the body, to biomimicry: nature informs all that she does. She currently lives on a farm outside on occupied Piscataway land, an hour south of DC with her partner, farm cat, and two tortoises.
